Benefits of Bikram Yoga Poses

Many people like to sweat when they workout, and Bikram Yoga caters directly to that desire. Bikram Yoga, often referred to as hot yoga, encourages sweat by increasing the room temperature to anywhere between 90 and 100 degrees. The idea behind this is heat makes a participant more flexible and able to move fluidly from one pose to the next. Most yoga practices encourage sweat simply through the intensity of each pose, so adding a hot environment to this promotes extreme sweating.  Just imagine working out inside a sauna. Why on Earth would anyone want to do such a crazy thing?

Yoga Rx for Digestive Complaints

An exercise that is most commonly known for improving flexibility and reducing stress can actually cure those very irritating stomach aches. This may be difficult to believe, but certain yoga postures can flatten that stomach by decreasing bloating and irritation caused by weak digestive systems. Yoga uses a combination of postures to balance the mind, body and soul. In the process of doing so, yoga practitioners (or yogis) become more in tune with their bodies. In focusing on the body, the mind is relaxed and stress is reduced.

High Raw gives the most comprehensible outline for directing your own health that I've found yet. It is not a book that tells you to take this herb for that illness, but rather a book that directs you in setting your own goals for health, weight, energy, fitness and success, and then gives really insightful and helpful systems for achieving them. In my video I'll share some of my favorite parts.
