Can’t I just eat fish?

Pain Relievers and Pregnancy

A new study out this month reinforces information already available regarding pregnant women and what pain relievers may be appropriate to use. The study, done in Canada, looked at NSAID (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) use in women who were trying to conceive and early pregnancy (before 20 weeks). What they found is using NSAIDs increases the risk of miscarriage 2.4 times over those not using these medications.

Soy For Menopause

A recent study came out suggesting using soy supplements may not be helpful in treating menopause symptoms like hot flashes or preventing bone loss that occurs during menopause. This study even found more women taking soy had hot flashes than those not using soy supplements.
